Penang...

Just two days after my semester ended, I had to rush to Penang pulak >.< Didn't pack until Saturday night... Just grabbed a few pants and T-shirts and stuffed them into my bag... So the next morning, we woke up at 4am!!! After having 3 hours of sleep, we started our journey with me as the driver... ^.^ This was my first time driving out station... Quite excited about it... Hehe... On our way to the PLUS highway, we kindda got lost and headed North using the old road... Went pass some small town, Kuala Kubu Baru (my initial NS camp) and Sabak Bernam before we finally reached the PLUS highway... We got to enjoy the scenery though and not to mention sunrise as well =) About 7 hours later, we finally reached Penang!!! If it wasn't due to some car problem, we could have reached there earlier... Anyway the most important thing was that all of us are in safe condition, no broken bones or whatsoever... We had to go round and round the bridge area because my mom couldn't recognise the roads anymore... After a good 3 or 4 years, the roads changed alot. Two things I don't really like about Penang roads are that most of them are one-way... Once you turn into the wrong junction, cannot U-turn ad... and there are quite alot of motorcyclist in Penang!!! Had to be very careful...

So......

1st day
arrived at granny's house in the afternoon... then I slept through the whole evening due to only 3 hours of sleep the previous night...
went for supper... tried "ho jian"... super nice ^.^ its now my favourite Penang food...

2nd day
went to eat dim sum with Uncle Mano (Mum's old friend) in the morning --> NICE~~~
practically sleep through the whole afternoon again... hehehehe
makan "ho jian" again...
overnight in Uncle Jimmy's house (Mum's bro)...

3rd day
wasn't feeling too well... feel a bit feverish... mum said I ate too much fried food especially "ho jian" T.T so just lay around the whole day and tried to drink as much water possible...
went to exercise in the park... actually just fooling around with the facilities there...

4th day
went to swimming in the morning with cousins... ^^ since nobody brought goggles, we ended up splashing water with each other...
aunt brought us to Queens Bay Mall... it was super big almost as big as IKANO... I super heart the padini concept store there =) There were discount everywhere!!!
went out for dinner in a restaurant (its Christmas Eve!) cousins brought a christmas cake and the tauke there thought it was somebody's birthday and played birthday song CD... everyone was blurred and kept asking whose birthday was it... lolx

5th day
time to go home...
went for breakfast in the morning market...
I tried the mee jawa... initially it was nice but then it started to taste like detergent powder... *yucks* I suspect its either they didn't waste the plate properly or the mee was contaminated by the powder... Haiyo no QC at all!!! what a bad experience to bring home >.<
anyway, reached home around 3pm because we somehow got lost and took the long way back =.=" super tired!!!

so basically what I did in Penang were EAT. SLEEP. EAT.SLEEP. Eat until my waistline hilang ad T.T

P/S: MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!
*sorry got no time to decorate my blog >.<"

Free At Last!!!

To celebrate after one hell of individual assignments, group assignments, presentations and reports, the ma'ams: me, Alice, Farrah, Pei Wern and Ei Lyn decided to go to MV. It had been soooo freaking loooooong since we all went out together. So we went to Chilis and had our lunch cum dinner there. We ordered the tostada chips that was the BOMB!!! Simple yet delicious... Pei Wern had beef steef while Farrah and Ei Lyn shared fajitas (don't realy remember the name of the dish... hehe) Alice and I ordered Cajun Club Sandwich, which was such a large portion. I was struggling to finsh it. "Don't Give Up! Stay Positive!" LOLX =P To our surprise a lady, who was about Pei Wern's size, managed to finish the whole Cajun Club Sandwich all by herself!!! O.o Never judge a book by its cover... Owh nearly forgot to mention about the staffs there... Memang teruk! Especially the receptionist... So ba bai face... I would prefer the night shift staffs who are more friendly and smiley...

Anyway, after filling our tummies, we went for shopping!!! One thing good after eating in a shopping mall is that you can walk and shop non-stop... That way you won't get fat that easily and at the same time, you doing your favourite activity--- shopping... Hehe... Tried on a few clothes and dress... But nothing feels good... Hmmm... This means its time to exercise more and lose all those fats as a result of junk food!!! Assignments just enhance my cravings for junk food =.=" next time definitely gonna stock up fruits instead of junk food... So we shopped until the mall closed. It was a fun night ^.^ I really enjoyed it and the best of all, the ma'ams bought me a super nice shirt/sweater (don't know what is it called) as my birthday present ^^ Thanks... Owh and thank you Alice for the christmas present as well...

So there goes our trip to MV. Too bad I forgot to bring my camera.......

Yesterday spent almost the entire day doing assignment using Google SketchUp...

Well, if yesterday was just any other day, there shouldn't be any complaints...

but yesterday was MY BIRTHDAY!!!!! >.<

talk about celebrations =.=' sigh...

to make matter worse, my cute little mouse rosak!!! i think its due to the intense zooming in and zooming out in the Google SketchUp... sigh

NO birthday celebrations and NO mouse!!!

nevertheless, yesterday wasn't that bad at all considering i have presents and birthday card from my 2 sis ^.^, birthday wishes from friends through sms, msn, facebook and friendster... at least yesterday didn't suck that much although it still sucks...

anyway, just wanna thanks those who wished me... it really warmed my heart ^.^

P/S: gonna make up for my birthday by making a cake for myself... hehe... stay tune!

my current favourite drink ---> TEH TARIK!!!!
Its not only the content that I like, I think I have fallen in love with the cup as well!
Seriously, it tastes better when you drink from that cup instead of the cheap glass found in the mamak stores... Just by drinking from the cup gives me HIGH satisfaction! =) *Yeah I know its strange* However, the standard of the teh tarik is erm... How I wish there is an ISO standard on making teh tarik... Then I can enjoy the perfect teh tarik in a perfect cup Xp
Anyway I've been drinking teh tarik quite often these days... Its works like coffee for me (a very good substitute, I must say) since I hate drinking coffee. Feeling kindda stress lately no thanks to assignments... Hope this would end very soon so that I can do what I wanted to do or else I will feel very extremely depressed... But for now, I'll just have to settle for a nice cup of teh tarik...
By the way, I would like to wish my sis GOOD LUCK and ALL THE BEST for her SPM...
忍耐吧! You can do it!!!
振作吧!

路是自己选择要走的,要勇敢地走下去!!

Volleyball

Went to play volleyball with Aaron, Ei Lyn and Farrah yesterday... Danial, Ainaa, Fatin and Ezma were supposed to join us that morning... However, none of them managed to wake up! Sigh! Now I realised that most uni students are leading an unhealthy lifestyle... I WAS once like that... but thanks to NS now I am struggling to be discipline to go to bed on time... Anyway I digress ^-^ Back to volleyball... It was a fun morning... I missed playing volleyball even since after NS... By the way, I joined volleyball club recently... Keeping my fingers crossed that the training session would not be on Monday and Thursday... I have already given up 扯铃 as it clashed with my working hours on Monday T.T hmmm... Sometimes I wondered whether I have made the right decision...

What's My Name's Hidden Meaning?

Found this in Pei Wern's blog... Thought it is interesting... So here it is......

What Waiailyn Means

You are very charming... dangerously so. You have the potential to break a lot of hearts. (hmm... weird!)
You know how what you want, how to get it, and that you will get it.You have the power to rule the world. Let's hope you're a benevolent dictator!
You are usually the best at everything ... you strive for perfection. (a bit only hehe)
You are confident, authoritative, and aggressive. You have the classic “Type A” personality.
You tend to be pretty tightly wound. It's easy to get you excited... which can be a good or bad thing.
You have a lot of enthusiasm, but it fades rather quickly. You don't stick with any one thing for very long. (so true!!)
You have the drive to accomplish a lot in a short amount of time. Your biggest problem is making sure you finish the projects you start.
You are relaxed, chill, and very likely to go with the flow.
You are light hearted and accepting. You don't get worked up easily.
Well adjusted and incredibly happy, many people wonder what your secret to life is. (hmm... how come I don't feel so)
You are a free spirit, and you resent anyone who tries to fence you in. (trademark for sagittarius Xp)
You are unpredictable, adventurous, and always a little surprising.
You may miss out by not settling down, but you're too busy having fun to care.
You are very intuitive and wise. You understand the world better than most people. (wah, has Sylar's power ad... haha X0)
You also have a very active imagination. You often get carried away with your thoughts.
You are prone to a little paranoia and jealousy. You sometimes go overboard in interpreting signals.
Well thats me ^_^

Mamma Mia!

Today went to watch Mamma Mia! with Farrah, Ei Lyn, Li Ching and friends of theirs : Natalie and Carmen (hope I spelt their names correctly) The movie is totally AWESOME! The storyline and how the songs fit into the story are simply brilliant... Its a combination of classic music, comedy and love... YI JI BANG!!! Sometimes couldn't help myself and sing along with the movie ^.^ Mamma Mia! is certainly nicer than High School Musical 1, 2 & 3 combined together although I am quite fond of HMS... Definitely a movie worthwhile to watch... Gives me an urge to watch Mamma Mia the musical p^.^q

Ban Mee

Today went to eat ban mee with a bunch of uni friends... The shop is located in Pandan Indah, which is just near my place... Hmm... How come I didn't know of its existence before one... Pai seh pai seh stay so near also don't know... Hehe... At first I thought the ban mee is just the ordinary ban mee I used to in Broga... But then when the food came out, it was quite different from what I imagine it would be... There is egg on top and no "kicap"... Nonetheless, it was quite nice and quite filling too... Costed me RM5.30 for that bowl of ban mee, which in return gives me high satisfaction ^-^ Definitely will bring my family there... WAKAKA... Now I have more reasons to dine out... Xp

*sorry no pictures or rather picture yet... later will get from li ching...

CRAZINESS!!!

Being in Year 1 is CRAZY! I had never have to read that much articles, journals, etc etc etc after a lecture... Now I truly understand the meaning of 学无边界... I come to realise that knowledge is not something that you can learn within 2 hours...

Here are some of my understanding about Year 1:-
1) Year 1 means do your research...
2) Year 1 means no more spoonfed by lecturers...
3) Year 1 means lecture notes are USELESS!!! (especially business economics)...
4) Year 1 means text books are important and also very EXPENSIVE!!!
5) Year 1 means you are lucky that lecturers even give you sources of information/references...

Somehow in Year 1, I managed to fall asleep in every class... OMG!!! That is not me at all... NO WAY!!! Hmm....... must change this bad habit of mine... Well that is pretty much about it... Year 1 only mah... Bring it on!!! ^-^

Day of Frustration

Today is the most frustrated day I've ever had... Have some family issue in the afternoon... So tried to eat away all my frustrations... Wanted to have a McFlurry... So went out to the nearest McD and missed the turn... Gosh dunno what was I thinking at that moment... So turned back and make sure I didn't miss the junction... Then as I was happily ordering my McFlurry, that stupid fella said, "Mesin rosak." @#!$*# Of all days, and it has to be today... sigh! In the end ordered an Apple Pie... =.=" Today is really a frustrating day... It is even worse than when doing assignment... I kept swearing in the car, in my head, in my heart..... Dunno whether I still can stand up to this anymore... Sigh~~~

I Soooo Love PARAMORE!!!

What a shame we all became,
Such fragile broken things,
A memory remains,
Just a tiny spark.
I give it all my oxygen,
to let the flames begin,
So let the flames begin.
Ohhhh Glory.... Ohh Glory!
This is, how we'll dance when,
when they try to take us down
This is what we'll be ohh glory
Somewhere weakness is our strength
And i'll die searching for it
I can't let myself regret
such selfishness
My pain and all the trouble caused
no matter how long
I believe that there's hope
buried beneath it all, and...
hiding beneath it all and...
growing beneath it all and...
This is, how we'll dance when
when they try to take us down
This is how we'll sing out
This is, how we'll stand when
when they burn our houses down
This is what we'll be Oh Glory!
Reaching as I sink down into light
Reaching as I sink down into light
This is, how we dance when
when they try to take us down
This is how we'll sing out
This is, how we'll stand when
when they burn our houses down
This is what we'll be Oh Glory!

NS Part 5

Okays you guys... This would be the final part of my National Service life ^^

Finally this day had came... A day that most looked forward to... A day that I didn't expect to come... Somehow part of me feels happy because I had officially completed National Service; part of me feels sad because of how fast time had past and very soon all of us will have to go our seperate ways and might not even see each other again... All is left would only be pictures and memories...

And that is briefly all the sweet memories of Kem Peladang Setiu Agro... One would have to truely go through NS in order to feel how I felt... Didn't regretted my decision to join NS... Leaves both sweat & sour experiences in my growing process ^^ Something that I definitely would remember in my older days...

NS Part 4

Kraf Hutan & Wirajaya

When I first went into Kampung Survivor, my first impression would be: "Wow, how come I never knew the existence of this place??" It was definitely breath-taking... It somehow reminded me of my uni's lecture hall...

Kampung Survivor - built by Cikgu Jungle

During Kraf Hutan...

Poor fellow... Luckily it managed to escape ^^

YUCKS!!! Grasshopper...

Roasted birds & boiled sweet potatoes...

Xiong, me, Stef, See Fah, Cikgu Jungle, Men Yoog & Sherry (Left to right)

Rotan bag decorated with forest cat's skin...

Wirajaya was the highlight of our camp... It required all the knowledge we had learnt in order to survive our 2 days 1 night stay in the jungle... We had to carried the uncomfortable waterproof bag and hike for around 4 hours before reaching our destination... Man! I was sweating all the way to campsite... Finally, we reached our campsite... Gosh!!! What a disappointment it is!!! I felt like being cheated... Apparently our campsite was only less than an hour walk from the main road and Cikgu Jungle made us hike for nearly 4 hours!!! However it was a good experience as we got to pass through several caves and rivers... p^o^q

On our way to campsite...

*Yummy*

See the squirrel there???

Close up of the roasted squirrel...

At night, me and my friends sat together and enjoy the night sky which was filled with shining star... It wasn't like any of the night view in KL... Simply magnificient... I could have just fall in love with the stars... Later that night, Xin Ying, Hui, me, Yan Ting and Yat laid under the tent and began chatting among us... It was such a wonderful night... Then, around midnight, we were went into the jungle without any touch light... Gosh!! It was super scary... All of us held tightly to the belt of the front person and this made walking difficult... In the jungle, we asked to identify the source of the sound being made... Then, on our way, something occurred... Sabrina and Ana went missing!!! It seemed like they had wondered off... It was a terrifying moment knowing that they were alone in the jungle... However, after an intense search, they were finally found... Phew~~

On the last day, we set up stoves and cooked our lunch... It was quite fun cooking and making tea with friends... Just as the day couldn't gone better, suddenly there came a heavy downpour... All of us scrambled to clear our stuff and try to outrun the rain... Well, in the end, I just gave up and let the rain came pouring down my face... Actually it has been a long looong time since I walked under the rain... And so, we ended our camping trip soaking wet...

Dreams...

*Sigh* Quite a number of friends went to study abroad... So envy of them... Why are they so rich? Why are they so lucky? Why are they so carefree? Able to leave everyone, everything behind... Sometimes it is good not to have any burden on your shoulder... Anyway I digress... I meant to say that I really really really want to study abroad... I want to experience the culture, social life etc etc and most importantly I wanna broaden my horizon... Lately, I keep wondering whether I should be a little bit more persistent and maybe stubborn in order to fulfill my dreams... Just like Hui... But then I keep telling myself that here is not bad either... I don't have to go UK to be successful: I still can achieve success here... I have to keep telling myself that I am already quite lucky for having Star to cover my tuition fees... If not, I won't be able to afford such a good uni not in a million years... If only the mobility study is available for business student once more...... Well I guess for now I am stuck here in Malaysia and have to learn to be grateful for what I have now... And for all those who are out there pursue their dreams, I wish you ALL THE BEST & GOOD LUCK!!!

NS Part 2

Here's the second part...

Khidmat Komuniti
Well, I also recalled quite alot of memories from Khidmat Komuniti... There is this boring lecture when Jabatan Pertahanan Awam (JPA3) and Polis Diraja Malaysia came... But most of them are fun!!! We went to visit villages in Terengganu... We went to visit this village which produces fruits... Watermelons, duku langsats and a fruit which I forget the name... Hehe sorry! We threw stones and sticks in order to get this fruit down from the big tall tree... And then there was once when we visited yet another village... We visited their fish paste factory which STINKS alot... Me and my friends even went into the big refrigerator which stored alot of fish and fish paste... Hehehe... so sampat =P Afterwards, we also went to a villager's house to watch him take nirah from the coconut tree and produce gula melaka... *Yummy*
